Project Summary: Peak PM have been approached in collaboration with a local Architect in regard to refurbishing and extending an existing domestic property in Gargrave, North Yorkshire,.
Built in1860, the property has been in the client’s family for multiple generations; a provenance proven by remarkable photographs of how the prominent riverside house has developed over the generations. Our client possesses photos of 4 generations of their family on the front step of the house, to the client himself at as a junior looking onward to the house on the opposite side of the River Aire.
This is a very special project with high sentimental value to our client and their family.
Works will begin on site in June 2023, and feature raising the roof of the existing extension, making multiple new structural openings throughout the property, along with new central heating, full rewire and fire suppression misting systems which allows for escape from the second floor. The new extension to the rear is looking onto the river through large, glazed openings and allowing plenty of natural daylight into the existing house.
Key Milestone: We’ve worked closely with local engineers, architects and Local Authority Building Control to provide our client with a home fit for future generations of their family, and a real asset to the conservation streetscape of this stunning Yorkshire village.
