Project Summary: This exciting project comprises, redevelopment of a Listed Manor House, which was formerly a care home into seven private residential apartments, Refurbishment of two listed Gatehouses into private residential units, conversion of a listed Coach House into four assisted living apartments and construction of a new 79 Bedroom Care Home to the rear of the site. The site is provided with mature trees vegetation and a large enclosed landscaped garden.
The development has been sympathetically undertaken to the Listed Buildings in line with ongoing liaison and discussions with the local conservation officer. The new build care home is located to the rear of the site, substantially hidden from view on the main road, ensuring the street scene is maintained. The building is formed of basement, ground and two upper floors, which will provide a combination residential, nursing and dementia care.
Due to the locality to the minster and the history in Beverley substantial archaeological excavations were undertaken on-site, with a number of interesting findings. It is intended to report on these findings within the new build care home at completion of the project.
Having originally managed the project at Projex Building Solutions and now Peak PM we have collaborated with Norr Architecture, Hydrock M&E consultants and ARP Structural and Civil Engineers on the project.
