Training Starts For Yorkshire 3 Peaks

Now we’ve committed to the challenge in support of #ThisIsLuke (JustGiving), we thought we best get started with the training plan. The first scheduled training walk saw James D, Mark and Richard tackling some local slopes, it was duly noted that the Morphet Fat Lads were missing in action!

Setting off at 12:30 on Friday afternoon from Embsay reservoir, the route took the lads up Embsay Crag before heading over to Rylstone Cross. Mid-point refreshments comprising of multiple Greggs Sausage Rolls and energy drinks were enjoyed at Cracoe War Memorial before setting back on the return leg via Upper Barden Reservoir.

Arriving back at Embsay Reservoir in a very respectable time of 3hrs 52minutes covering a distance of 11.65miles and an overall climb of 1,735ft the afternoon was topped off with a well-earned pint (or two) at the Elm Tree Inn.

Any donations that can be provided in support of this amazing young man would be very much appreciated and can be done on the link below.
